Ontario Reign Game Preview: Reign Take on Barracuda Tonight in Game 4 on $2 Brew Friday

Ontario, CA - The Ontario Reign, proud American Hockey League (AHL) affiliate of the Los Angeles Kings of the National Hockey League (NHL), battle the San Jose Barracuda in Game 4 of the Pacific Division Semifinals tonight at 7:00 PT at Citizens Business Bank Arena. Reign lead the best-of-five series, 2-1.
Round 1 Schedule:
Game 1: at San Jose 2-1 Win
Game 2: at San Jose 3-2 Loss
Game 3: at Ontario 3-1 Win
Game 4: Friday, April 29 at Citizens Business Bank Arena at 7:00 p.m.
Game 5*: Sunday, May 1 at Citizens Business Bank Arena at 3:00 p.m.
Game 1 Recap:
Defenseman Kurtis MacDermid buried the first Reign AHL playoff goal midway through the second period and forward Jonny Brodzinski netted the game-winning tally with 4:03 remaining in the contest to give the Reign a 2-1 victory over the Barracuda at SAP Center in San Jose.
Game 2 Recap:
MacDermid and Brodzinski once again found the back of the net, but the Barracuda capitalized on limited chances to take Game 2, 3-2. Barracuda defenseman Joakim Ryan recorded three assists The Reign outshot the Barracuda 36-15.
Game 3 Recap:
Forward Adrian Kempe scored twice and forward Nic Dowd buried a power-play maker to lead the Reign to a 3-1 victory over the Barracuda at Citizens Business Bank Arena. The Reign peppered Barracuda goalie Aaron Dell with 39 shots.

Fill The Cup:
Join the Ontario Reign as they fill the Calder Cup with donations for the Hope Reigns Foundation. The Calder Cup will be featured at the Citizens Business Bank Arena main entrance and fans can pose for photos.
Power Play Cashes In:
With a power-play goal in Game 3, the Ontario snapped an 0-for-6 postseason skid through Game 1-2.
Rising to the Top:
Reign forward Jonny Brodzinski is riding a three-game point streak heading into tonight's Game 4 (two goals, one assist) and is tied for sixth among AHL rookies in the playoffs with three points. Brodzinski is also tied for fourth in the AHL postseason with 14 shots on goal.
Regular-Season Rivals:
In the regular-season, the Reign battled the Barracuda 12 times, earning a 9-3-0-0 head-to-head record. At Citizens Business Bank Arena, the Reign went 6-0-0-0. Reign forward Sean Backman led all skaters in the regular-season series with 11 points (four goals, 11 assists) and Reign forward Michael Mersch led all skaters with five goals. Forward Bryan Lerg led the Barracuda in the series with eight points (three goals, five assists).
