WASHINGTON (February 11, 2016) -- D.C. United have hired Rob Hur as Vice President of Corporate Partnerships. Hur comes to United from Monumental Sports & Entertainment, where he served for over six years as the Director of Corporate Partnerships.

"We are extremely pleased that Rob is joining our team," said Mike Schoenbrun, D.C. United's Chief Revenue Officer. "For the past 20-plus years, he has built an extensive network in the D.C. area that will be critical as we lay the foundation for our new home at Buzzard Point. Rob will be instrumental in helping the team secure a stadium naming rights partner as well as stadium founding partners."

While at Monumental, Hur was instrumental in negotiating deals with various Fortune 500 companies, and represented the Washington Wizards, Capitals, Mystics and the 20,000 seat venue Verizon Center.

Prior to working at MSE, he was most recently director of corporate sponsorships for the Washington Kastles of World Team Tennis, where he developed and negotiated strategic partnerships with Comcast SportsNet and Bonneville Radio, among other initiatives.

In 2015, D.C. United secured partnerships with Heineken, Wells Fargo, Mazda and CareFirst, among others.

Hur's first day will be February 17th.
