Guns & Hoses Game and Mascot Monday highlight weekend of fun and entertainment

BLOOMINGTON, Illinois - The Bloomington Thunder begin a set of three home games in four days on Friday evening at 7 p.m. from the U.S. Cellular Coliseum. The Green Bay Gamblers stroll into town for back to back games Friday and Saturday before the Muskegon Lumberjacks sub in on Monday afternoon at 3 p.m.

Tickets can be purchased in advance from the Thunder office to save money on walk up. Call (309) 434-2980 for tickets starting at $10 and youth tickets for $5. Group rates also get you a discount when you bring 10 or more to the game.

The annual Guns & Hoses night is Saturday at 7 p.m. The Thunder will honor the local firefighters and police officers of Central Illinois for their dedication and protection to the community. Tickets anywhere in the building are $10 for anyone affiliated with local fire and police departments. $5 youth tickets are also available for purchase. The team will be wearing specialty Guns & Hoses Jerseys that will be auctioned off post-game. Proceeds from the auction will benefit the Muscular Dystrophy Association.

For food specials, the Thunder are offering a free hot dog for kids 12 and under when they come into the building. Take a voucher when you enter the Coliseum and head to the concession stands for a free hot dog. Get to the game early for buy one, get one free hot dogs up until puck drop. Doors open at 6 p.m. to begin the promotion.

Friday night, Bloomington begins their weekend series against Green Bay. The second place team in the USHL brings in two NHL drafted players and a top 50 prospect for the upcoming NHL Draft. It will also be the 100th game in the Thunder's team history. When the doors open at 6, all those 21 and over are able to buy $1 Budweiser draft beer and Pepsi products until puck drop.

On Monday afternoon the Thunder will welcome local mascots from around the community for the Mascot Monday game. At 3 p.m. the Thunder welcome the Bloomington/Normal community to have some fun at the Coliseum on Presidents Day with the local mascots including Diesel, Reggie Redbird, Corny, and many more. All game long, kids 12 and under can get $3 kid's meals from the Coliseum concession stands, which include a hot dog, soda, and chips.
