Corbett, Jungwirth Named Honorable Mentions

February 8, 2016 - North American Hockey League (NAHL)
Coulee Region Chill News Release

Coulee Region Chill forwards Scott Corbett and Larry Jungwirth have been named honorable mentions by the NAHL after last weekends wins against the Minnesota Magicians and Austin Bruins.

Corbett, native of Carmel, IN, ended what was a long two-month scoreless streak last Friday against the Magicians. His goal in the 1st period was his first since December 4th against the Springfield Jr. Blues. He took that confidence into Saturday nights game against the Bruins and scored another goal with just over seven minutes to play. His second goal of the weekend would ultimately be the game-winning goal that gave the Chill their 4th weekend sweep since New Years Eve. Corbett now has five goals and five assists in his first season with the organization.

Jungwirth, native of Bloomington, MN, had possibly his best weekend as a junior hockey player thus far for a couple of reasons. Not only did his two goals in Friday nights victory against the Magicians help lead the Chill to a victory, but he did it in his first game playing against his former teammates. Like Corbett, Jungwirth followed up a great Friday night with a helping hand in Saturday nights victory against the Bruins, contributing an assist on Kevin Dinnens goal in the first. With the two goals on Friday night and assist Saturday night, Jungwirth now has 2 goals and two assists in a Chill uniform.

Corbett, Jungwirth and the rest of the Chill will need to carry their momentum into this Fridays game set to take place against the Minnesota Wilderness away from La Crosse. They'll then cap off their season series against the Bruins at home Saturday night in a game presented by Courtesy Corporation.
