ECHL Announces Suspension

December 29, 2015 - ECHL (ECHL) News Release

PRINCETON, N.J. - The ECHL on Tuesday announced that Manchester's Danick Paquette has been suspended for eight games as a result of his actions in ECHL Game #388, Manchester at Adirondack, on Dec. 26.

Paquette was assessed a major penalty and game misconduct for elbowing under Rule #45.3 at 17:38 of the second period.

The ECHL Player Safety Department released the following statement in regards to the suspension:

"Mr. Paquette's suspension is based on the elbowing major from Saturday's game, as well as his repeat offender status as he has been suspended multiple times throughout his career for similar incidents. Mr. Paquette was also previously suspended for five games this season as a result of another elbowing penalty."

Paquette missed Manchester's game against Adirondack on Dec. 27 and will miss games vs. Greenville (Dec. 31, Jan. 2 and Jan. 3), at Adirondack (Jan. 6), at Elmira (Jan. 8 and Jan. 9) and vs. Norfolk (Jan. 16).
