Rochester Red Wings News Release

ROCHESTER, NY - The Rochester Red Wings coaching staff will look quite different in 2016 but not at the top. Mike Quade will return for his second season as manager of the Red Wings in 2016 after leading Rochester to a 77-67 record last year.

Next season will be Quade's 19th as a minor league manager and fifth in the International League. He has collected 1,284 minor league wins, ranking 13th among active minor league managers through 2015.

Stu Cliburn returns to Rochester as the Red Wings pitching coach, a role he previous held from 2006-08. He spent the last seven seasons as pitching coach for the Twins Double-A affiliates in New Britain (2009-14) and Chattanooga (2015). Overall, 2016 will be Cliburn's 25th season as a coach in the Twins organization.

Chad Allen, briefly played for the Red Wings in 2002 when the team was an Orioles affiliate, takes over as hitting coach for Rochester. Allen has spent the last three seasons with the Twins Double-A teams in New Britain (2013-14) and Chattanooga (2015).

Larry Bennese returns as Rochester's Athletic Trainer for the fourth straight season and his 21st overall in the Twins organization. He was honored as International League Athletic Trainer of the Year in 2014. Bennese received his Bachelor's in Sports Medicine from Penn State University.

Dax Fiore joins the Red Wings as Strength and Conditioning Coach after spending the previous four seasons in the same role with various teams in the Twins organization (Double-A Chattanooga, 2015; Double-A New Britain, 2014; Single-A Ft. Myers, 2013 and GCL Twins, 2012).
