Teddy Bear Toss Slated for Saturday

Dubuque Fighting Saints News Release
DUBUQUE, Iowa - The Dubuque Fighting Saints, in tandem with media partner Dubuque's Super Hits 106.1 FM, will be hosting the sixth annual Teddy Bear Toss on Saturday, December 5 at 7:05 p.m. when the Waterloo Black Hawks come to town. The matchup will kick off the Dupaco Cowbell Cup rivalry for the Fighting Saints.
Fans are encouraged to bring a new stuffed teddy bear, or any kind of stuffed animal, to throw onto the ice immediately following the Fighting Saints' first goal. All toys will be donated to Toys for Tots. The Fighting Saints have donated over 5,000 toys to children in the Tri-State area.
Toys for Tots is a not-for-profit organization started by the U.S. Marine Corps. Since its official inception in 1995, the organization has donated 494 million toys to 230 million children.
Santa Claus will be making the trek south from the North Pole to attend Saturday's game, and to be available for pictures on the concourse during the game. Fans are encouraged to bring their own camera for pictures with St. Nick.
