Quad City Mallards News Release

MOLINE, Ill. - The Quad City Mallards teamed with the Genesis Health Services Foundation to raise $16,800 for the Genesis Flu-Free Quad Cities program through a game-worn jersey auction after the Mallards' game tonight against the Cincinnati Cyclones at the iWireless Center.

The special edition blackout jerseys worn by the Mallards tonight in a 2-1 win over the Cyclones went up for bid in a live auction immediately following that contest. The jersey of Mallards goaltender Brody Hoffman went for the evening's high bid of $2,600.

Over the last two decades, Mallards jersey auctions have raised over $800,000 to benefit Genesis Health System charities. Tonight's auction is the first of two the Mallards will team with Genesis to hold this season. After the Mallards' March 5 meeting with the Wichita Thunder, game-worn Star Wars-themed jerseys will go up for bid.

Tonight's auction was conducted by Stenzel Auction Service, a family owned business that has been providing auction and appraisal services for over 50 years. More information on Stenzel Auction Service and be found at www.stenzelauction.com.

The Mallards return to action tomorrow at 4:05 p.m. against the Indy Fuel on home ice. Fans can join the Mallards on the ice after the game for another B100 Skate with the Mallards.

Single game tickets for all Mallards regular season home games- including tomorrow's game- are on sale now at the iWireless Center box office, Ticketmaster outlets, ticketmaster.com and Ticketmaster charge-by-phone toll free at 1-800-745-3000 .
