Sarnia Sting News Release

Ottawa, ON - After falling short in Peterborough Thursday night, The Sarnia Sting travelled to Ottawa on Friday night for a tilt with the Ottawa 67's on DIFD night. The Sting fell by a score of 4-1 in the second game of a three game road trip.

It was a busy night for the Sting penalty killing units, as the first 6 penalties of the game were charged to Sarnia. The physicality of the game increased throughout, and tensions were high as both teams traded scoring chances through the first.

Pavel Zacha continued his hot streak in November scoring the lone goal for the Sting adding onto his team lead in points to 21.

The 67's added 1 more goal in the second period and an empty netter in the third to put the game away. The shots were even at 28 at the end of the game.

Justin Fazio looked sharp throughout the game, making the big saves when needed to help the team keep the game close. Fazio ended the night with 24 saves on 27 shots. Leo Lazarev had a strong game making 27 saves on 28 shots.
