BRAMPTON, ON - The Brampton Beast, ECHL affiliate of the St. John's IceCaps and Montreal Canadiens, announce today that the club has signed forwards Nick McParland and Luke Sandler as well as goaltender Sean Bonar ahead of the club's two-game road trip this weekend.

McParland, 28, hails from Schreiber, Ontario spent his four year NCAA college career with Lake Superior State University from 2009-10 to 2012-13. At the college level, he recorded 29 goals and added 37 assists for 66 points in 142 games played.

He has spent parts of two seasons in the ECHL with the Orlando Solar Bears in 2012-13 and the Rapid City Rush in 2014-15, playing in a total of 19 ECHL games, recording two goals and four assists.

For the last two seasons, he has been playing in the SPHL with the Pensacola Ice Flyers. This season, he has recorded three goals and six assists in 11 games.

22-year-old Sandler hails from Chicago, Illinois and split a great junior career between the USHL and the BCHL.

In 2013-14, he split the season between the USHL's Muskegon Lumberjacks (14GP, 1G, 4A, 55PIM) and the BCHL's Surrey Eagles (14GP, 5G, 1A, 39PIM) and Nanaimo Clippers (16GP, 4G, 8A, 53 PIM).

He made the move to the NCAA in 2014-15 and suited up for Lake Superior State University, appearing in 22 games and recording three goals and four assists with 59 penalty minutes.

He graduated to the professional ranks this season and suited up for eight games with the SPHL's Peoria Rivermen and notched one goal and 39 penalty minutes.

Bonar, a 24-year-old Delta, British Columbia native, played four seasons for Princeton University between 2010-11 and 2013-14, and earned a career NCAA record of 17-33-6 in 63 games at the prestigious school.

He split both the 2014-15 and 2015-16 seasons between the SPHL and ECHL. Last season, he played three games for the ECHL's Indy Fuel and the SPHL's Fayetteville FireAntz.

This season, he's played in a pair of gamaes with the ECHL's Orlando Solar Bears (2.65 GAA, .911 SV%) and five contests with the SPHL's FireAntz (2.40 GAA, .928 SV%).

The Beast are back in action this Friday, November 27 as they head to Toledo to take on the Walleye at 7:15 PM. After a stop in Wheeling to face the Nailers on Saturday night, the team returns to the Powerade Centre on Sunday to take on the Elmira Jackals at 2:00 PM.
