Sarnia Sting News Release

Riding a 3 game winning streak, the Sarnia Sting head east to take on the Peterborough Petes, the Ottawa 67s, and the Kingston Frontenacs this weekend.

The Sting are coming off a commanding 6-2 win over the Niagara IceDogs on Saturday night in Sarnia. The OHL announced today that Troy Lajeunesse, Noah Bushnell and Head Coach Derian Hatcher each received a two-game suspension following altercations on Saturday night.

Saturday's game also saw Pavel Zacha record his first career hat-trick and add two assists for a total of 5 points. For his efforts, Zacha was named OHL player of the week.

The weekend gets underway on Thursday night at the Peterborough Memorial Centre when the Sting take on former captain, Daniel Nikandrov and the Petes for the first time this season.

On Friday night, the Sting are in Ottawa for their DIFD game in support of mental health. The game is a preview of the 18th Annual Teddy Bear Toss game next Sunday when Travis Konecny and the 67s are in town.

The Sting close out the weekend on Sunday afternoon in Kingston against Lawson Crouse and the Frontenacs.

They return to Sarnia next weekend with North Bay in town on Friday night and Ottawa in town on Sunday for the 18th Annual Teddy Bear Toss game.
