Admirals Go for 10 in a Row Tuesday Night

Milwaukee Admirals News Release

Milwaukee, WI - The Milwaukee Admirals will attempt to set a new franchise record with their 10th consecutive win when they host to the San Antonio Rampage at 7 pm on Tuesday night at the BMO Harris Bradley Center.

The Admirals won their ninth straight last Saturday night with a 3-1 win over the San Diego Gulls at the BMOHBC. After going the first 37 years of existence without a nine-game winning streak the Admirals have now done the feat two years in a row. Milwaukee won nine in a row last January to set a new record, which was tied with the win vs. the Gulls.

Its no coincidence that the Admirals winning ways began about the time that forward Viktor Arvidsson was assigned to the team from Nashville. The Skeleftea, Sweden native led the Admirals in scoring as a rookie last season, recording 55 points and was named to the AHL All-Rookie club. Since joining the Ads this season Arvidsson has recorded at least a point in every game, giving him a 12-game point streak which is the longest in the AHL this year.

Arvidsson's linemate Frederick Gaudreau has also found his scoring touch during the streak. Gaudreau has lit the lamp in each of his past three games and with five goals he has already exceeded his goal output from all of last season (4).

It hasn't just been the offense that has been clicking for Milwaukee. The team has provided stout defense during the winning streak. They haven't given up more than three goals in any of the nine games and in five they have allowed one or fewer. Rookie netminder Juuse Saros has a personal six-game winning streak, posting a 1.83 goals against average and a .940 save percentage in that time. His counterpart Marek Mazanec has allowed just four goals in his past three starts, stopping 92 of 96 shots he has faced.

Tickets for Tuesday's game, or any other Ads game, can be purchased by calling Ticketmaster at (800) 745-3000 or by clicking here. Groups of ten or more can receive great discounts over single game prices. Those interested in booking a group can call the Admirals office at (414) 227-0550.
