Fighting Saints Reveal Special Jersey for "Celebration of No-Shave November" Night

DUBUQUE, Iowa - In conjunction with UnityPoint Health Finley Hospital and the Wendt Regional Cancer Center, the Dubuque Fighting Saints will host the Celebration of No-Shave November Night on Saturday, November 28 when they host the Chicago Steel at a special game time of 6:05 p.m. The night will raise awareness and funds for men's cancer initiatives.
The jersey, which boasts a "Saints Stache," has a blue primary color, which stands as a beacon of awareness for colon and prostate cancers. Prostate cancer, aside from skin cancer, is the most common cancer among men, and colon cancer is the third-most prevalent cancer overall, according to recent studies by the CDC.
The back of the jersey is emblazoned with "MOVEMBER," an alternate initiative to No-Shave November whose mission statement is to "change the face of men's health" by promoting cancer screenings for early detection and effective treatment.
"We are privileged to be working alongside UnityPoint Health Finley Hospital once again," said Matt Rau, Dubuque Fighting Saints Vice President of Business Operations. "It is our hope that the money and the awareness that we raise on Saturday night will help save lives."
A postgame auction will be held after Saturday's game, where 100% of the proceeds will benefit the Finley Health Foundation and the Wendt Regional Cancer Center in Dubuque.
