Ice Flyers Re-Sign Goalie McLean

PENSACOLA, Fla. - Pensacola Ice Flyers Head Coach Rod Aldoff announced that the team has re-signed goalie John McLean. In a corresponding move, Eric Levine has been waived.
McLean, a native of Eagan, Minn., joined the Ice Flyers late last season after completing his collegiate career at NCAA Division III Gustavus Adolphus College. He appeared in three games for the Ice Flyers posting a 2-0-0 record with a 3.54 goals against average (GAA) and a 0.895 save percentage (SV%). As a senior for the Golden Gusties, McLean played in 13 games with a 5-5-3 record, a 2.03 GAA, 0.929 SV%. McLean was selected by the Macon Mayhem in the expansion draft last offseason but sat out most of training camp with an injury.
The Ice Flyers host the Louisiana IceGators this Wednesday, Nov. 25, with a 6:35 p.m. for our Thanksgiving game. The team will then head on the road again this weekend to take on the Fayetteville FireAntz on Friday and Saturday. Puck drop is scheduled for 6:05 p.m. Central both nights. Watch parties for both games will be held at New York Nick's downtown and at the 9 Mile Beef 'O' Brady's location.
