Allen Americans News Release
Tulsa, Oklahoma - The Allen Americans rebounded from Saturday's 6-1 loss, turning the tables on the Tulsa Oilers with a 4-3 win on Sunday afternoon at the BOK Center.
Chad Costello and Casey Pierro-Zabotel each had a goal and an assist to lead the way for Allen. Costello scored what turned out to the game winner in the third period on the power play. Allen scored twice with the man-advantage, as Jonathan Parker netted his sixth of the season on the power play in the second frame.
"We needed this one," said Americans Captain Chad Costello following the teams eighth road win of the season. We were embarrassed with our performance last night at home so coming out strong at the beginning and setting the tone for the game was important."
The Americans outshot Tulsa 24-21 for the game. Allen was two-for-five with the man advantage, while the Oilers were one-for-five.
The Allen Americans return to action next Friday night in Salt Lake City, as they open a two-game weekend set against the Utah Grizzlies. Allen returns home to play the Rapid City Rush on Friday, December 4th.
