Lone Star Brahmas News Release

CORPUS CHRISTI, TX - While the trip to the beach may not have began the way they had hoped, it certainly concluded with an outcome they had wished for as the Brahmas picked up a 4-1 victory over the IceRays on Saturday night.

The first frame was smothered with physical play as the two teams combined for 64 penalty minutes. Alex Berardinelli was the lone goal scorer but that was just the first in what would be a historic night for him.

Pennsylvania's very own came out guns blazing in the second as well scoring twice more in the first six minutes en route to recording the first hat trick of the season for the Brahmas.

In the third both teams added one and it Carson Kelley who struck gold for the Brahmas adding to his impressive weekend.

Goaltender Conor O'Brien picked up his sixth victory of the season stopping 18 out of 19.

The team will now return back to North Richland Hills for just a few days of rest before Military Appreciation Weekend begins Wednesday with a tilt against the south division leading Wichita Falls Wildcats.

After the holiday off the team will be back in action on Friday and Saturday against the Amarillo Bulls. Tickets are on sale for all three games under the TICKETS tab, by calling 817-336-4ICE or at the box office at NYTEX.
