Brampton Beast News Release

BRAMPTON, ON - The Brampton Beast Hockey Club has released the following statement from forward Cal Wild on his status:

Today I am announcing my retirement from professional hockey and have accepted the role of "Community Ambassador" with the Brampton Beast.

I would like to take the opportunity to thank my loving family, the Brampton Beast organization, all of my teammates, the front office staff with each of the teams I've worked with, and of course all of the fans for their incredible support.

To me, this game has always been about the people. The people I encountered and the opportunity to make an impact in the community that will long outlast my playing career. While I am retiring from the game I love, I am very excited to remain a part of the Beast family and looking forward to the opportunities that lie ahead with this organization.

Brampton Beast President and General Manager Cary Kaplan also released the following statement regarding Cal Wild:

Quite simply, Cal has been the face of the Brampton Beast since our inception. His work ethic on the ice, his leadership in the dressing room, and his unparalleled charitable and community involvement have been beyond compare.

We congratulate Cal on a fantastic playing career. The entire organization is thrilled that the next chapter in Cal's life will also be with the Brampton Beast.

There will be a special ceremony before the Beast game on Sunday, November 22nd against the Fort Wayne Komets. The puck drops at 2pm. Single game tickets are now available, starting at $16.25. Trial Packs for the 2015-16 season are also available starting at $39.99 that include three game tickets.
