SPOKANE, Washington (November 20, 2015) - The Spokane IFL franchise has signed rookie wide receiver Brendon Felder to their 2016 roster.

Felder (WR, 6-0, 190, Winston Salem State) joins Spokane for his rookie season as a member of the IFL. His explosive speed (4.4 seconds in the 40-yard dash) earned him an opportunity in the NFL's Pittsburgh Steeler's 2015 mini-camp last spring.

As a senior at Winston Salem State, Felder led the rams in receiving with 43 receptions for 574 yards and nine touchdowns. He was also named All-CIAA as a kick returner after averaging 32.6 yards per return.

Felder originally committed to play his collegiate football at North Carolina, but transferred to the University of Pittsburgh prior to the start of the 2011 season. After sitting out for a year due to NCAA guidelines, Felder played in ten games in 2012 for the Panthers primarily on special teams while also playing defensive back. He played his prep career at Gateway Regional High School in Huntington, Massachusetts.

"Brendon is a tremendous athlete. His speed and explosion after the catch really jumped off the screen as I watched his film," said Head Coach Adam Shackleford. "He will be able to help us in all three phases of the game."
