Parking at the Essar Centre on Saturday to be Tight
November 18, 2015 - Ontario Hockey League (OHL)
Soo Greyhounds News Release
Sault Ste. Marie, ON - The Essar Centre and the Soo Greyhounds would like to remind fans that parking in the downtown core and at the Essar Centre lot will be congested prior to the November 21 Soo Greyhounds game, due to the Rotary Club Santa Clause Parade starting at 6 p.m. on Queen Street.
Please note that Queen Street East will be closed temporarily from 5:30 - 7:30 p.m. from Pim Street to Gore Street for the parade.
Hockey fans should allow extra time for access to the downtown area and parking - your patience and understanding is appreciated.
Also, a reminder that the Soo Greyhounds will host their annual Teddy Bear Toss Night, in partnership with the Stuff-a-Bus initiative, at this Saturday's game.
Fans are encouraged to bring a new or slightly used teddy bear to the game, wrapped in a plastic bag. When the Hounds score their first goal, fans can throw their bears on to the ice. All collected bears will be donated to the Stuff-a-Bus campaign, in support of Christmas Cheer.
