Lexington County, SC - November 17, 2015. The Lexington County Blowfish of the Coastal Plain League have announced its schedule for the 2016 season. The Blowfish will open with a pre season exhibition game May 30th featuring a team consisting of Blowfish Alumni from the past ten years. This will be the first time that Blowfish players from the last decade will reunite and will take on the 2016 team. The Blowfish Alumni will be coached by the first head coach in the history of the franchise -Tim Medlin (presently Head Coach USC Sumter). All former Blowfish players and coaches are invited to what will be sure to become an annual pre-season event for all the players and fans!

The Blowfish will officially play the season home opener on Wednesday, June 1st versus in state rival, the Florence RedWolves. The 2016 schedule features 28 regular season home games at the Lexington County Baseball Stadium as well as 28 road games against teams in the Coastal Plain League. The schedule also includes the annual USC Alumni Baseball Game on Friday, July 1st which will kick off our independence weekend of home games and patriotic fireworks shows!

The Blowfish travel and play teams in the CPL from Virginia, North Carolina, South Carolina, and Georgia. They will also be facing a new team in Savannah and are excited to welcome the new franchise to the league and will first face them at home on June 10th.
