Norfolk Admirals News Release
BAKERSFIELD, Calif. - The Bakersfield Condors announce today that the Norfolk Admirals' American Hockey League affiliate has signed forward Josh Currie to a professional tryout agreement (PTO).
Currie, 23, leads the Admirals in goals and points with six and 12, respectively, through the first 13 games. The 5-foot-11, 187-pound center is in his third professional season, and has 35 goals and 50 assists for 85 points in 154 career ECHL contests. A product of Charlottetown, PEI, Currie has yet to play a game in the AHL. He went undrafted out of the Charlottetown Rocket in the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League.
The Admirals wrap up a season-long, seven-game road trip starting Wednesday at Adirondack. The earliest puck drop of the season is at 10 a.m. and can be heard on 1650 AM WHKT. Watch it live on ECHL.TV. With 30 games remaining on the schedule, there is still plenty of the 2015-16 season left to purchase season tickets, which start at $400. Ten-pack tickets are also available and can be purchased at the Admirals' Administrative Office inside Scope. Individual game tickets can be purchased at the Scope Box Office, ticketmaster.com, or charge-by-phone at 1-800-745-3000.
