Wolves Begin Four Game Homestand Friday

The Sudbury Wolves begin a four-game homestand this weekend as they host two Eastern Conference opponents. On Friday, November 20th, the Wolves will host the Peterborough Petes at 7:00pm. They will hit home ice once again on Sunday, November 22nd, when the Kingston Frontenacs visit the Nickel City for the one and only time this season. Game time is 2:00pm.

This will be the second meeting between the Petes and the Wolves this season. HUNTER GARLENT leads the Petes' attack this season with 25 points in 21 games. The Petes are also led by Carolina Hurricanes prospect, STEVEN LORENTZ, who sits fifth in team scoring with 15 points. Tampa Bay Lighting prospect MATTHEW SPENCER spearheads the Petes' blueline along with Sudbury native CAMERON LIZOTTE, who is in his third season with the Petes.

Friday's game is sponsored by Petryna Advertising. Two lucky fans will win $50 bills during the T-shirt toss in the 1st intermission courtesy of Petryna Advertising. Fans are encouraged to bring infant food to the game in support of the Infant Food Bank. Donators will have a chance to win an Autographed Wolves Jersey.

The Wolves will return to the ice Sunday afternoon to host the Kingston Frontenacs for the one and only time this season. The Frontenacs currently sit 1st in the Eastern Conference and are led by Florida Panthers 1st round draft selection, LAWSON CROUSE who has 15 points in just 12 games this season. Also leading the attack for the Frontenacs are winger SPENCER WATSON, and defenceman ROLAND MCKEOWN. Watson and Spencer are both Los Angeles Kings prospects and lead the Frontencas in scoring with 24 and 20 points respectively.

Sunday's game is sponsored by Glencore who will be on hand with Thundersticks for fans. They will also have collection bins in front of the arena for the Local Food Bank. Lucky fans who donate will have the chance to win great prizes courtesy of Glencore. The Sudbury Wolves will also welcome special guest TIE DOMI to Sunday's game who is in the middle of a book tour across Ontario promoting his new book Shift Work. Tie will drop the puck prior to the game. He will also be on hand to meet with fans prior to the game in his trailer in the Minto Street parking lot from Noon to 2PM. Sunday is Family Day! All kids 12 and under accompanied by an adult will recieve admission for only $7.00.

Prior to this weekend's double-header, the Wolves will travel down Highway 69/400 to battle their divisional rivals, the Barrie Colts on Thursday at 7:30pm. Fans can tune into the live play-by-play with Stew Kernan on KFM 95.5.
