After a scoreless first period that saw the 67's outshoot the Bulldogs 10-4, Ottawa forward Austen Keating would get the scoring started as he batted a rebound out of mid-air off a Nevin Guy point shot to put the 67's ahead 1-0. Travis Konecny would also get an assist on the power play goal at 1:21.
Dante Salituro would put Ottawa up 2-0 at 8:07 when he broke into the Hamilton zone and snapped a shot over Bulldogs starter Connor Hicks. Evan de Haan would get the second assist on the goal.
Trent Mallette would convert a Travis Barron pass on a 67's three-on-one break at 16:25 to put the visitors up 3-0. Ben Fanjoy would also get an assist on Mallette's third goal of the season.
At 18:48 Barron would capitalize on a Bulldogs turnover in their own zone and rifle a wrist shot over Hicks' glove to make it 4-0. The goal was unassisted.
The 67's would get one more before the period was up when Sam Studnicka banged home a rebound with only 0.5 seconds left in the period. Adam Craievich and Ryan Orban would get the assists on the 5-0 goal.
In the third Keating would pot his second goal of the night at 12:38 when he snuck a puck through Hicks's legs. Hudson Wilson and Connor Graham would tally assists on the final 67's goal.
