Tri-City Dust Devils News Release

The Tri-City Dust Devils were awarded the 2015 Excellence in Service Award from Visit Tri-Cities. The Dust Devils were presented the award at the 2015 Visit Tri-Cities Annual Meeting and Tourism Showcase at the Three Rivers Convention Center on November 12.

The Excellence in Service Award is presented yearly to a member of the Tri-Cities tourism and service industry for their ongoing commitment to go above and beyond to provide customer service to visitors and residents. Nominees for this award demonstrate exemplary customer service, assist in creating a memorable experience in the Tri-Cities, serve as an example to others and lead in the community and tourism industry.

"Since the beginning the Tri-City Dust Devils have been a wonderful partner in supporting tourism in the Tri-Cities," said Kris Watkins, President and CEO, of Visit Tri-Cities. "Not only by providing their facilities for visiting sports tournaments, but for their commitment in going above and beyond to create a great experience for each and every one of their customers."

The award is a testament to the continued dedication of more than 100 Dust Devils employees to providing excellent service to everyone who walks into Gesa Stadium.

Dust Devils Vice President and General Manager Derrel Ebert said, "It is a great honor for the Dust Devils to receive this award. This is truly a compliment to all of the full-time and part-time employees that have embraced our customer service philosophies and provide our guests with a great experience when they come to a game at Gesa Stadium."

This year's Visit Tri-Cities Annual Meeting and Tourism Showcase concluded a weeklong celebration of the new Manhattan Project National Historical Park's three sites in Los Alamos, N. Mex., Oak Ridge, Tenn. and Hanford, Wash. The event also included a trade show featuring companies of the Tri-Cities tourism industry.

The 2015 season was Tri-City's first as an affiliate of the San Diego Padres. The Dust Devils went 42-34, winning 25 games at Gesa Stadium, during the regular season and secured a playoff spot by winning the first half championship in the Northwest League's North Division. Tri-City swept the Everett AquaSox in the first round of the NWL playoffs to win the North Division Championship before falling one game short of winning the NWL Championship against the Hillsboro Hops. The Dust Devils had 89,674 fans walk through the Gesa Stadium gates during the 2015 season, a franchise record.

Ticket packages for the 2016 season start at just $49, with full-season tickets available starting at only $285. Special ticket rates are available for groups of 20 or more. Season tickets, mini-plans, and group tickets can be purchased by contacting the Dust Devils front office at (509) 544-8789 or at the Gesa Stadium box office.
