Defender Brittany Taylor Signs with FC Kansas City

KANSAS CITY, MO. (November 11, 2015) - FC Kansas City announced today that defender Brittany Taylor has signed with the team. The Blues acquired her rights on Monday through a trade with the Western New York Flash for defender Becca Moros. Per club and league policies, additional details on the contract were not disclosed.

"FCKC has established a reputation for winning and I am going to make sure this offseason prepares me to uphold that reputation. I am looking forward to the 2016 season and my new home at FC Kansas City," Taylor said. "Change is something that can be taken as a challenge; however the opportunity to play for the two-time reigning champions is a dream come true."

The Campbell Hall, NY product was selected in the First Round of the 2010 WPS Draft by Sky Blue FC where she made 42 appearances for the club, scored twice and was named a WPS All-Star. In addition, Taylor scored three goals in nine games during her time at W-League side Hudson Valley Quickstrike Lady Blues.

Following a very successful collegiate career at the University of Connecticut, Taylor earned her first career start with the U.S. National Team against Canada at the Four Nations Cup as well as being a part of the U-17, U-20 and U-21 national team programs.
