The Situation

The Grizzlies enter the week at first place in the West Division with a 6-3-1-0 record coming off of three-straight wins in Anchorage Wednesday, Friday and Saturday. Utah is the only team in the five-team West Division with a winning record.

6-0 Start

Grizzlies goaltender Ryan Faragher is off to a 6-0 start with a 1.81 Goals-Against-Average and a .950 save percentage, which ranks second in the ECHL. Faragher has only allowed seven five-on-five goals in six games. He is in his second year of being under contract with the Anaheim Ducks organization.

Rookie Leading League

Matt Berry leads ECHL rookies with 11 points on seven goals and four assists and also is tied for the ECHL lead in goals. Under contract with the Ducks organization as well, Berry is in his first professional season out of Michigan State University.

Almost Atop The League

Berry and Ryan Walters (four goals, seven assists) are just two points off of the overall scoring lead.

More Contributing Rookies

Three of Utah's six leading scorers are rookies. Josh MacDonald, who enters the week on a three-game scoring streak, has four goals and three assists for seven points in ten games. Ryan Misiak has one goal and four assists for five points in six games. His first professional goal was scored on a breakaway Saturday that gave Utah a 2-1 lead with just over six minutes left in the third period in the 4-1 win.

Third Periods

The Grizzlies outscored Alaska 7-1 in the third periods during the weekend series at Sullivan Arena and have now outscored the opposition 15-9 in the third periods. 15 goals in the third period is tied with Allen for the team lead.

Without Almeida

The Grizzlies were without one of their top forwards Barry Almeida over the weekend in Alaska. He remains day-to-day with an undisclosed injury. Almeida has six goals and three assists for nine points in seven games.

All Hands On Deck

14 of Utah's 16 skaters recorded at least a point in Alaska. During the four games last week, the Grizzlies saw shots recorded by at least 12 of 16 skaters in every game, including 14 skaters with at least one shot Friday and 15 on Monday. 22 of Utah's 25 skaters who have dressed this season are an even or better in five-on-five play.

First Wild Wednesday

Wednesday at 7 p.m. is the first Wild Wednesday of the year. Students with ID will be admitted for $5. In addition, there will be $2 Hot Dogs, $2 Churros, $2 Soft Drinks and introducing $4 Grizzlies "Goalden" Ale.

Also On Wednesday, November 11

Veterans and Active Military will be admitted free to the contest to thank them for their service on Veterans Day.

Friday, November 13

The Grizzlies will be offering $13 lower bowl tickets for Friday the 13th.

Saturday, November 14

The Grizzlies will be wearing Salt Lake Golden Eagles Throwback uniforms that will be auctioned off live after the game with all proceeds going to the Angel's Hands Foundation.

Pooch On The Pond

The Grizzlies are teaming with Now 97.9 for the first Pooch on the Pond of the season where fans can bring their dogs to the game. A ticket for a fan and their dog is $24 in advance and $28 on game day. There will be prizes and a dog show for select canines in attendance.

The Grizzlies Minute has the latest news of the day every day just after 5:20 p.m. during "Gunther and Ben in the Afternoon" on 1320 KFAN.

Head Coach Tim Branham makes his weekly appearance on 1320 KFAN every Friday at 9:05 a.m.

"Voice of the Grizzlies" Adrian Denny joins Gunther and Ben every Friday at 3:30 p.m. during the "Wasatch Whiparound"
