Akron Racers Sign Ashley Thomas to a Two Year Contract

Akron, OH - Akron Racers GM, Joey Arrietta announced today that 2014 All-NPF selection, Ashley Thomas has re-signed with the Racers for the next two seasons. Thomas follows a flurry of contract activity becoming the seventh Racers to ink a two-year deal to remain in Akron.
Thomas had another solid campaign posting a .271 batting average with double digit runs scored (18) and 20 RBI. The Racers posted a league-leading 49 homeruns in 2015. Thomas nailed four.
Thomas grabbed the 8th spot overall in 2014 with .326 batting average. Her All-NPF performance included 42 hits and five homeruns. Thomas placed 5th overall with 25 runs scored.
"Ashley has grown into the positon at second base and is still learning," noted Arrietta. "But I have never questioned her desire and determination to get better every day. Her offensive game continues to evolve and I am confident she will become a very tough out."
