Storm Chasers Announce "5th Fest" Details

Papillion, Neb. - On the heels of their parent club's World Series victory, the Omaha Storm Chasers are excited to announce details for "5th Fest", which will feature a special announcement that will include the re-dedication of Omaha baseball to the 2015 World Series champion Kansas City Royals on Monday, November 16, with other fun surprises in store that evening. The festivities will begin that evening at 6:00 p.m. at the Ralston Arena Banquet Hall.

In addition to the "5th Anniversary Announcement," those with an interest in youth baseball and softball activities are encouraged to attend. Information is expected to be made available to that can directly impact opportunities regarding youth teams and leagues. Members and participants in the DREAM Foundation of Omaha will also be in attendance as part of the festivities.

"The Kansas City Royals' World Series title, along with the Storm Chasers approaching our fifth anniversary season at Werner Park provides us the perfect opportunity to pay tribute to our champion parent club," said Storm Chasers President and General Manager Martie Cordaro. "We are privileged to be a major part of a championship organization, which will be evidenced on November 16."

A total of 14 Storm Chasers were part of the Royals' 2015 World Series Championship roster, while a total of 140 alums have played in the Major Leagues since 2011. The Storm Chasers and Royals organizations have been aligned since Kansas City first began American League play in 1969, with the upcoming 2016 campaign marking the 48th year Omaha has served as the Triple-A affiliate of the Royals.

D.R.E.A.M. foundations' mission is to expand opportunities for youth by providing positive role models, and works with over 450 young men and women on a weekly basis through their six after school programs.
