Heat Drop Season Opener 8-7

Harrisburg Heat News Release


The Harrisburg Heat rallied late, but came up short on the road losing 8-7 to the Detroit Waza Flo in Flint, Michigan. The Heat led 3-2 at halftime, but gave up 5 goals in the 3rd quarter.

The Heat trailed by 3 midway through the 4th quarter, but goals by Val Teixeira and Brad Kerstetter brought the Heat within 1. Late attempts with the 6th attacker failed and the Waza held on for the win. Chris Hall had two goals for the Heat. The Heat also got goals from Connor Malone, Tyler Witmer, and Ken Fultz.

Tim Mehl took the loss in net for the Harrisburg Heat. Rafael Dias got the victory for Waza.

The Heat will play their home opener Saturday, Nov 14 against Missouri.
