Peoria Rivermen News Release

ON THE ROAD AGAIN

The Rivermen are 1-1-0 on the road this season after Thursday's win in Louisiana with two games in the Cajundome remaining on the road trip. Last season the Rivermen boasted the SPHL's best road mark at 17-9-2 as part of Peoria's SPHL-best 36-17-3 regular season record.

STUCK IN THE SIN BIN

Thursday night's game featured three fights between the Rivermen and IceGators, including one two seconds into the game. Overall the Rivermen were penalized 33 minutes on eight infractions while Louisiana was sent to the box nine times for a total of 27 minutes.

FEEL THE POWER

Peoria scored their first powerplay goal of the season Thursday night when Adam Stuart buried a pass from Timmy Hall at 11:54 of the third period. The Rivermen are one for 23 in man-advantage opportunities this season. The Rivermen killed off all five Louisiana powerplays Thursday night to improve them to 19 of 21 killing penalties.

A RETURN WAITING IN THE WINGS

Rivermen captain Dan Bremner serves the final game of his three-game suspension tonight after he was given a five-minute major and game misconduct for a hit in the second period of Peoria's 4-0 win over Pensacola October 24. Per league rules, with Bremner suspended Peoria will only be allowed to dress 17 players, including goalies. Bremner is eligible to return to the lineup for Saturday's series and road trip finale in Louisiana.

WHAT'S AHEAD

After tonight the Rivermen will play the IceGators once more in Lafayette before returning to Carver Arena for a single game next Saturday against the defending league champion Knoxville Ice Bears, followed by a three game series against Louisiana in Peoria November 20-22.
