U.S. National U17 Team Falls Short, 5-4, against Sweden in World Challenge Quarterfinal

DAWSON CREEK, British Columbia - Sean Dhooghe (Aurora, Ill.) tallied two goals, but the U.S. National Under-17 Team fell short, 5-4, against Sweden in the quarterfinal round of the 2015 World Under-17 Challenge. Team USA will compete in a placement game tomorrow (Nov. 6); the game time, location and opponent are to be determined.

The U.S. National Under-17 Team is back in action tomorrow with the game time, location and opponent to be determined pending the outcome of today's remaining games. Updated tournament standings and results can be found here.

Notes: Sean Dhooghe was named U.S Player of the Game ... The U.S. outshot Sweden 31-24 ... Team USA was 0-for-2 on the power play and 2-for-4 on the penalty kill ... Dhooghe and Logan Hutsko each picked their first point(s) of the tournament in today's game. Eighteen of 20 skaters have tallied at least a point for Team USA throughout the tournament.
