Eagles Complete Trade for Forward Joe Zarbo

Windsor, CO. - The Colorado Eagles announced Thursday that they have completed a trade that sends forward Nathan Moon to the Evansville Icemen in exchange for forward Joe Zarbo and future considerations. The 6-foot, 185-pound rookie has notched two goals in five games with the Icemen this season, leading the team in goal scoring and tied for the team lead in points. Zarbo made his pro debut with Evansville late last season, registering six points in nine games, including three goals.

A native of Grand Island, New York, Zarbo recently capped off a four-year career at Clarkson University, posting 34 goals and 32 assists in 136 games with the Golden Knights. He would also lead the team in goal scoring in both his sophomore and senior seasons with 13 goals and 12 goals, respectively. Prior to making the jump to the NCAA level, Zarbo enjoyed a stellar season with the Wellington Dukes of the OJHL in which he would tally 33 goals and 29 assists in 50 games, helping lead the Dukes to an OJHL Championship.

Moon recorded 46 points in 51 total games with the Eagles and appeared in three games with Colorado this season, registering three points.
