ROSEMONT, Ill. - Chicago Bandits GM, Aaron M. Moore, announced today the re-signing of outfielder Brenna Moss for the 2016 season. Moss is the first player to officially join the Bandits 2016 roster.

Drafted by the Bandits as the 13th overall selection out of Fresno State in the 2015 NPF College Draft, Moss immediately made an impact in the lineup starting a total of 40 games which led all rookies on the team.

"The Bandits are excited about re-signing Brenna for the 2016 season," said Moore. "She is a player that came in last season, bought in to our system and made an immediate impact for us.

"Brenna is a special player. She runs like a centerfielder, can cover a lot of ground in the outfield and she has a right fielder's arm. She made some outstanding plays last season and was a key piece to our championship puzzle. We're very confident that Brenna's second season will only be better, especially at the plate."

In her first professional season, Moss batted .177 with 10 runs scored and 10 RBIs, including her first professional home run which was recorded on July 23 against the Dallas Charge. She was also tied for first overall on the team in triples with two during the regular season.

Moss, 22, was also a reliable presence in left field for the Bandits, taking over for Emily Allard who moved over to center field this season. Moss recorded a perfect fielding percentage on the season with 59 total putouts and several outstanding plays in the outfield.

"It is such an honor to be signing with the Bandits again for the upcoming season," said Moss. "I could not ask to be a part of a better team and I can't wait to get back out on the field to fight for another Championship.

"Also, I'd like to welcome the Houston Scrap Yard Dawgs to the NPF. I'm excited to take on the new competition and see what each team will be bringing to the table."

A four-year starter at Fresno State, Moss helped lead the Bulldogs to their first ever Mountain West Conference (MWC) Championship in 2015, while earning Mountain West Defensive Player of the Year honors during the 2014 season. As a senior, she led the MWC with a .439 batting average and 83 hits and she set a Fresno State stolen base record with 104 during her collegiate career.
