Bemidji, MN- The Minnesota Axemen announced that they have traded for former University of Nebraska/Northern Iowa Quarterback Brion Carnes.
Minnesota Axemen Head Coach Richard Davis is excited to see what Carnes can bring to the table, "Brion was one of the most coveted players in the league this off-season, and we are pumped to have him on our team."
Carnes played in two games for the Nebraska Danger last season, completing 64.3% of his passes while throwing six touchdowns with zero interceptions. The Axemen in return have traded Nose Tackle Ino Vitale to the Nebraska Danger.
The Minnesota Axemen are a third-year franchise in the Indoor Football League and will be in the North Division of the United Conference, which includes the Cedar Rapids Titans and the Green Bay Blizzard. The Axemen are lead this season by new General Manager/Head Coach Richard Davis, and look forward to the upcoming season starting February 2016.
