Wild Things Acquire Infielder Ricardo Rodriguez

The Washington Wild Things acquired INF Ricardo Rodriguez from the Amarillo Thunderheads to complete a trade deal that took place during the 2015 season. Rodriguez is the player to be named later in the Richie Mirowski trade.
Rodriguez, who hails from Moreno Valley, CA, played first and second base for the Amarillo Thunderheads of the American Association during the 2015 season.
"Amarillo Manager Bobby Brown had nothing but rave reviews about Ricky and his offensive abilities," said Wild Things' general manager Steven Zavacky.
During his final season at Florida Tech, Rodriguez was impressive with 38 runs on 68 hits including 13 doubles, three triples, seven home runs and 42 RBI. The Wild Things will celebrate their 15th season of Frontier League Baseball. The home opener is slated for Friday May 20th at CONSOL Energy Park.
