P-Bruins Force Overtime But Ultimately Fall to Falcons, 2-1

October 31, 2015 - American Hockey League (AHL)
Providence Bruins News Release

Providence, RI - Hartford's Brian Gibbons won the game for the Wolf Pack when he slipped the puck five hole 21 seconds into the over time period.

The Providence Bruins went on an early lead when Anton Blidh scored on the first shot of the game, for his 3rd goal of the season. Blidh's shot found a way past Hellberg 5 minutes into the game, with helpers going to Tommy Cross and Chris Casto. Hatford tied it up at one apiece when Ryan Borque scored with 6 minutes left to go in the first period.

No scoring in the second or third period but Justin Hickman and Noel Acciari had a productive 40 minutes, each with multiple shots on net and hits in open ice. It was McIntyre's aggressive goaltending that forced the overtime turning away all 21 shots tossed his way during the second two periods.

Gibbons finished the game quickly in over time, with a nice solo effort during the 3 vs. 3 period.

The P-Bruins advance to 3-3-3, still looking for their first road win. Providence takes the ice again tomorrow when they head back to the Dunk and take on the Springfield Falcons at 3:05pm.
