Wolves Fall to Colts
October 25, 2015 - Ontario Hockey League (OHL)
Sudbury Wolves News Release
The Sudbury Wolves were unable to ride the momentum from Friday's big win, falling 7-2 to the Barrie Colts.
The game started out on the wrong foot for the Wolves, as Barrie scored less than two minutes into the game. This was unfortunately a sign of things to come as the Colts scored five goals in the first two periods. A standout for the Colts was Kevin Labanc who registered 5 points on the night, including the opening goal and 4 assists.
Barrie kept their feet on the gas to start the final period of play, scoring twice before the halfway mark to make it 7-0. However, the Wolves did not give up, scoring two late goals in an attempt to gain momentum for their next game. PAVEL JENYS scored the first Wolves' goal from ALAN LYSZCZARCZYK. LYSZCZARCZYK added a goal himself later in the period assisted by defencemen PATRICK MURPHY and KYLE CAPOBIANCO. Final shots were 36-24 in favour of Barrie.
The Wolves will look to rebound, Sunday evening when they return home to host the Hamilton Bulldogs. Sunday will be a special game time of 6:30pm. Great seats are still available from the Sudbury Arena Box Office after 4:00PM on Sunday or by visiting www.greatersudbury.ca. All kids 12 and under will receive admission to the game for only $7 when accompanied by an adult.
