Hitmen Offense Silent in Loss to Kelowna

Kelowna, BC - Jackson Whistle made 26 saves for his first shutout of the season and eighth of his career leading the Kelowna Rockets to a 3-0 win over the Calgary Hitmen on Saturday night at Prospera Place. 

Kole Lind, Dillon Dube and Cole Linaker, into an empty net, provided the goals for the BC Division leading Rockets. Tyson Baillie added a pair of assists for Kelowna who scored once in the first period before adding two more in the final fame.

Calgary went 0-6 on the powerplay while Kelowna was 0-2. Both teams had 26 shots on goal.

The Hitmen, 7-6-0-1, will now head back to Calgary to open a two-game homestand that begins on Thursday, Oct. 29. Game time is 7:00 p.m. at the Scotiabank Saddledome for Fan Celebration where $10,000 in prizes will be given away including Hitmen season tickets, Flames, Stampeders and Roughnecks tickets, signed Hitmen sticks and jerseys along with much more. All fans in attendance will be eligible to win.
