Port Huron, MI - The Port Huron Prowlers, proud members of the Federal Hockey League (FHL) today released the design for their inaugural 2015-16 season.
The design produced by JOG Sportswear pays homage to a former professional hockey team to call McMorran Arena home, Port Huron Flags.
From 1962 - 1981 the Port Huron Flags/Wings wore the red and white proudly while capturing three Turner Cups. Most recently the Port Huron Flags of the United Hockey League wore the same colors and designs as the Detroit Red Wings for two seasons.
Currently the Port Huron Minor Hockey Association Flags wear the same jersey design.
"It was very important to us that we honour the teams of the past with our new jersey design" said Port Huron Prowlers Owner Barry Soskin. "Not only is the red and white recognizable in the Blue Water Region but all across Michigan as the official design and colors of the Detroit Red Wings of the National Hockey League."
Catch the Port Huron Prowlers in action at their Season Home Opener on November 7th at the McMorran Arena. The puck drops at 7:30 pm. The game, presented by Fuel Woodfire Grill, will feature a pre-game tailgate and a live game-worn jersey auction.
