ICE CHIPS: The KOOTENAY ICE enter this week's action with a 2-9-0-0 record (2-3-0-0 at home, 0-6-0-0 on the road) and in sixth place in the CENTRAL DIVISION...KOOTENAY will play its next two games on home ice beginning with a matchup against the REGINA PATS October 20.
2 FOR 1 TUESDAYS: KOOTENAY ICE 2 FOR 1 TUESDAYS are back!...At every Tuesday regular season home game, fans can enjoy 2 FOR 1 deals on walk-up tickets and select concession items from COYOTE JACK'S...The first 2 FOR 1 TUESDAY of the 2015-16 season is October 20 when the ICE host the REGINA PATS.
PEPSI KIDS CLUB: Registration is now underway for the 2015-16 PEPSI KIDS CLUB...For $17.00, children aged 5-12 can join and receive exclusive access to events with KOOTENAY ICE players all season long...Each KIDS CLUB member also receives a punch card allowing them to attend up to eight regular season home games for $5.00 each when accompanied by an adult...For more information, visit the ICE office or call 417-0322.

ROSTER UPDATE: Including long-term injuries, KOOTENAY is carrying 24 players (two goaltenders, ten defensemen and 12 forwards)...The ICE roster is made up of five 1995-born players, three 1996-born players, eight 1997-born players, seven 1998-born players, and one 1999-born player...KOOTENAY has eight first-year players on its roster.
DID YOU KNOW: Goaltender WYATT HOFLIN surpassed 3,000 career saves October 17 versus PRINCE ALBERT...HOFLIN, who is two victories shy of 50 career wins, recorded his fourth career shutout (34 saves) October 14 versus MOOSE JAW...Forward ZAK ZBOROSKY recorded his second multi-goal game (two goals) of the season October 16 at MEDICINE HAT...ZBOROSKY is one game shy of 150 career WHL regular season appearances...Defenseman DYLAN OVERDYK recorded his first career multi-point game (two assists) October 16 against the TIGERS...Forward NOAH PHILP registered his first career WHL point (assist) October 16 in MEDICINE HAT...Forward MATT ALFARO is two points shy of 50 career points...ALFARO is two appearances short of 150 career games played...Defenseman TROY MURRAY is three games short of 150 career WHL appearances...KOOTENAY is one of two EASTERN CONFERENCE teams (LETHBRIDGE) who have yet to play an overtime or shootout game this season...Former ICE forward JASON JAFFRAY (RED BULL MUNICH) was voted the September DEL PLAYER OF THE MONTH October 19...Former ICE captain SAM REINHART (BUFFALO SABRES) scored his first NHL goal October 17 at TAMPA BAY...Former KOOTENAY forwards LEVI CABLE (SASKATCHEWAN) and AUSTIN VETTERL (UBC) tallied their first CIS goals versus the UNIVERSITY OF CALGARY on October 9 and 16 respectively.
TRANSACTION / INJURIES: The ICE released Goaltender KEELAN WILLIAMS (June 22, 1996) October 15 to the CAMROSE KODIAKS of the ALBERTA JUNIOR HOCKEY LEAGUE...Forward MAX PATTERSON will be out of the KOOTENAY lineup day to day with an upper body injury...Defenseman CALE FLEURY will be out of the ICE lineup one to two weeks with an upper body injury...Forward JAEDON DESCHENEAU will be out of the KOOTENAY lineup indefinitely with an upper body injury...Defenseman TYLER KING will be out of the ICE lineup indefinitely with a lower body injury.
ONE YEAR AGO: After 11 games of the 2014-15 season the ICE were 3-8-0-0, after 12 games 3-9-0-0 and after 13 games 3-10-0-0.
