Niagara IceDogs News Release
The Niagara IceDogs are pleased to announce that Toronto Maple Leafs legend, Hockey Hall of Famer Darryl Sittler will be joining us this Thursday, October 15th as part of Meridian Credit Union Night as the IceDogs host the visiting Hamilton Bulldogs for the first time.
The second youngest captain in Toronto Maple Leafs history, Sittler enjoyed an incredible career, posting 1121 points in 1096 career NHL games. While the Kitchener native enjoyed a tremendous career overall, he is probably remembered best for his performance on February 7, 1976. That night against the Boston Bruins, Sittler put up a remarkable six goals and four assists for an NHL record 10 points in a single game, a record that still stands today.
Sittler will be a part of a ceremonial puck drop for the game and will be signing autographs at the Meridian booth prior to the game and during the first intermission.
Don't miss out on this unique chance to welcome one of the all-time greats to the Meridian Centre, get your tickets today!
