Americans Announce Pen Pal Program
October 12, 2015 - Western Hockey League (WHL)
Tri-City Americans News Release
The Tri-City Americans are excited to announce the Americans Pen Pal Program.
The program is designed for 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade classrooms in the Tri-Cities area. Teachers may sign their classrooms up beginning Monday, Oct. 12 through Wednesday, Oct. 28. Classroom signups will be a first come, first serve basis. All teachers that sign up will be contacted on Thursday, Oct. 29. Spots are limited, not all classrooms that sign up are guaranteed a spot in the program.
Students will correspond with their designated Americans player each month. Letters will be picked up and delivered by the Tri-City Americans.
In February, students will get to meet their Americans pen pal at a meet and greet event.
This program is a way for kids to practice their reading and writing skills, as well as providing a positive role model for students to look up to.
