North Carolina FC News Release

CARY, NC (October 9, 2015) - The Carolina RailHawks will battle to return to the win column when they host Jacksonville Armada FC on Saturday, October 10 at 7:30 pm at WakeMed Soccer Park.

Saturday's match will be the second meeting of the fall season between the RailHawks and the Armada FC. Jacksonville hosted the RailHawks on August 12th and earned a 3-0 victory after a Daniel Scott red card left the RailHawks a man down for the final ten minutes.

With a win this weekend, the RailHawks will look to keep their playoff hopes alive. The RailHawks currently have 26 combined-season points. A RailHawks win on Saturday will move the team ahead of Jacksonville in the standings.

The RailHawks return to their home pitch after a hard fought 3-1 loss to first-place Ottawa Fury FC in a downpour at WakeMed Soccer Park on September 26th. In that match, the RailHawks found themselves in a three-goal deficit at halftime. While the team gained momentum in the second half and fought back with a Nacho Novo goal in the 51st minute, the late push was not enough and the score remained 3-1.

Jacksonville Armada returns to action following a 1-1 draw with Indy Eleven. During Saturday's match in Jacksonville, the Armada FC struck first with a Jaime Castrillón goal in the 29th minute. Jacksonville played with ten men for 27 minutes following a Mechack Jerome red card in the 63rd minute, and Indy Eleven took advantage with a Brian Brown goal in the 83rd minute.

After Saturday's match, the RailHawks remain in Cary and will host FC Edmonton on Wednesday, October 14th at 7:30 pm.

RailHawks Notes:

RailHawks Add Daniel Jackson and Steven Miller to the 2015 Roster

The Carolina RailHawks announced the return of forward Daniel Jackson for the remainder of the season. The team also announced they acquired defender Steven Miller on loan for the remainder of the season.

Coach's Quote

"We are in a difficult position at the moment, but we are working very hard to overcome adversity," said RailHawks Head Coach Colin Clarke. "We need to make sure we keep that mindset against Jacksonville and get three points in front of our home supporters."
