Eleven Petes Alumni on NHL Opening Day Rosters

(Toronto, ON)- The Ontario Hockey League announced on Wednesday that 178 OHL alumni are listed on National Hockey League opening day rosters representing over 23% of all players in the league to start the 2015-16 season. Eleven Peterborough Petes alumni are on opening day rosters.

All 30 NHL teams have at least one former OHL player on their opening day roster. The Los Angeles Kings and Buffalo Sabres lead the league with 10 former OHL players each, followed by the Columbus Blue Jackets and Toronto Maple Leafs with nine each.

The OHL continues to be a leading supplier of talent to the NHL.
