Stingrays Add Fyten to Training Camp Roster

NORTH CHARLESTON, SC- The South Carolina Stingrays, celebrating 23 seasons in the Lowcountry and proud affiliate of the Washington Capitals of the National Hockey League (NHL), have added forward Austin Fyten to its Training Camp roster.

Fyten was assigned to the Stingrays from the club's American Hockey League (AHL) affiliate, the Hershey Bears. The 6-foot-2, 200-pound forward spent all of last season with the Lehigh Valley Phantoms of the AHL, scoring 11 points (two goals, nine assists) in 64 games.

The Sundre, Alberta native has appeared in 61 career ECHL games, all with the Idaho Steelheads. During the 2012-2013 season, Fyten tallied 41 points (14 goals, 27 assists) in 46 games with the Steelheads. He has also appeared in 122 AHL games, scoring 33 points.
