The Islanders are back at home on Friday after bringing home three of a possible six points from their Quebec road trip last weekend. They face the Saint John Sea Dogs on Friday night, the second time they've met so far this season. The Islanders lost that contest 3-2 thanks to an unlucky bounce in the third period. The Sea Dogs have been led this season by wingers Sam Povorozniouk (4 goals and 5 assists for 9 points in 8 games) and Daniel Del Paggio (4 goals and 4 assists for 8 points in 8 games). In net, Marc- Antoine Turcotte leads the league with a 0.932 SAV%, and has a 2.47 GAA to go along with it.

Saturday night is a special night at the Eastlink Centre, as the Islanders celebrate their annual "Pink the Rink" night. The Islanders will be wearing special edition pink jerseys for the game, which fans will have the opportunity to take home after the game in support of the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation. Some of the jerseys will be in a silent auction, while raffle tickets will be sold for the rest at both games over the weekend. Breast cancer survivors are invited to attend the game free of charge, and all fans are encourage to wear pink to the game. The Islanders came away with a 6-5 overtime win over the Tigres when they faced them over their Quebec road trip thanks to a pair of goals from Alex Goulet. Maxime Comtois (4 goals and 6 assists for 10 points in 9 games) leads the Tigres in scoring, followed by Mario Huber (3 goals and 5 assists for 8 points in 9 games). Time has been split in the Victoriaville net by James Povall (2-3, 3.25 GAA, 0.897 SAV%) and Olivier Tremblay (1-2-1, 4.71 GAA, 0.870 SAV%).
