Nailers, WesBanco Arena Announce New Concessions

October 6, 2015 - ECHL (ECHL)
Wheeling Nailers News Release

WHEELING, WV- The Wheeling Nailers, proud ECHL affiliate of the Pittsburgh Penguins, have announced in conjunction with WesBanco Arena that there will be new concession stands and new food items during the 2015-16 season.

Local businesses DePasquale's Trattoria, River City Ale Works, and Quaker Steak & Lube have teamed up with Generations Restaurant & Pub and WesBanco Arena to offer fans exciting new dining options when they attend games. Each restaurant will have a stand on both the east and west sides of the arena with River City Ale Works and Quaker Steak & Lube sharing the center stands, while DePasquale's Trattoria and WesBanco Arena will share the end stands.

DePasquale's Trattoria is one of the newest businesses to enter Downtown Wheeling, and is quickly becoming known for its authentic Italian sandwiches. Seven different subs will be offered at Nailers games this season, in addition to pizza. DePasquale's will also dip into the dessert business in two of their stands, serving Hershey's Ice Cream.

River City Ale Works has the shortest distance to travel to WesBanco Arena, as it is located on the corner of 14th and Main Street. Pulled pork sandwiches, chicken gyros, grilled chicken wraps, and grilled chicken salads highlight the main course offerings, while pretzel sticks, ultimate nachos, and artichoke dip are also on the menu.

Quaker Steak & Lube is well-known for its wings, and those wings will be making their way down I-70 from The Highlands. Boneless and breaded wings will be available as well as the traditional style, while fans will have the opportunity to snack on appetizers such as fried pickles, onion rings, and fries.

WesBanco Arena's stands will tackle the essentials, such as coffee, cotton candy, and beer, and all vendors will now be selling Coca-Cola products.

Finally, Generations Club returns for another fun and appetite filling season, with its location in the northeast corner of the rink. In addition to the club, Generations Restaurant & Pub will also be catering to the DeNoon Lumber and Cattrell Suites, as well as the new loge boxes. Burgers, wraps, perogies, and cheesesticks are among the options from the eatery on National Road in Wheeling.

Fans will get their first tastes of these new concessions at Friday's preseason game against Cincinnati at 7:35. Tickets are free at the Nailers office, or $5 over the phone at (304) 234-GOAL or at the box office.

Individual tickets, season tickets, mini plans, and group tickets are on sale now, with prices starting as low as $10 per seat. The Nailers will begin the 2015-16 regular season on October 16th and 17th in Norfolk, before the home opener takes place on October 24th against Brampton at 7:35. For tickets and more information, call the Nailers at (304) 234-GOAL or online at wheelingnailers.com.
