Chicago Wolves and WCIU-TV Enter Fourth Year of Partnership

October 6, 2015 - American Hockey League (AHL)
Chicago Wolves News Release

The four-time league champion Chicago Wolves and WCIU-TV have agreed to broadcast 56 regular-season Wolves games on network television during the 2015-16 regular season. The majority of the American Hockey League games will air on The U-Too, including the Wolves' 22nd season opener at 7 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 10, at Allstate Arena.

The U-Too is found over the air at WCIU-DT 26.2. Cable subscribers get the channel on XFinity 230, 248 and 360, RCN 35 and WOW 170. For the third year, every Wolves broadcast will be available in HD. A handful of Wolves games will air on WCIU (Ch. 26), starting with the Nov. 29 home game against San Antonio.

"The stations of Weigel Broadcasting -- WCIU, the U and The U Too -- continue to be a terrific conduit to bring the Chicago Wolves to hockey fans," said Wolves president of business operations Mike Gordon. "Our partnership gets better every year."

"WCIU, The U and The U Too are going into the fourth season as the broadcast home of the Chicago Wolves," said Steve Farber, Weigel Broadcasting's senior vice president of broadcast operations. "This year brings more games, more action and more local programming to our viewers and the fans."

Jason Shaver enters his eighth season as the play-by-play voice of the Wolves while Bill Gardner, who played eight seasons in the National Hockey League, returns for his 14th season as color analyst. To view the updated list of the games they'll call, visit ChicagoWolves.com.
