Preview: Spirit Match up with Storm Saturday Night

SAGINAW, MICH - On Saturday night, the Saginaw Spirit welcome the Guelph Storm (0-2-1-0) to the Dow Event Center. Saturday's engagement will be the first of four meeting with the Storm this season. In 2014-15, Guelph won three out of the four match ups with the Spirit and in the last eight meetings between the two teams in Saginaw, the Storm have come out on top five times.

The Spirit are coming off of a 7-1 loss on Thursday against the Windsor Spitfires at the WFCU Centre. Jesse Barwell had the lone tally for the Spirit in the second period to make it a 2-1 game at the time. Windsor tallied five unanswered goals from then on to take the game.

The Storm were handed an 8-4 defeat Friday night at the hands of the Soo Greyhounds at the Sleeman Centre. James McEwan scored twice for the Storm. Guelph also got goals from Vladislav Barulin and Luke Burghardt. The four goals scored by Guelph Friday night were their first goals of the season, after being shut out in back-to-back games by Oshawa and Owen Sound.
