Sea Dogs to Welcome Returning Players, Pink in the Rink Rescheduled

September 30, 2015 - Quebec Maritimes Junior Hockey League (QMJHL)
Saint John Sea Dogs News Release

SAINT JOHN - The Saint John Sea Dogs will reintroduce their roster before Friday's game against the Gatineau Olympiques as a way to welcome all of their players back to the team.

Today's announcement of defenceman Thomas Chabot returning to Saint John from the Ottawa Senators means all nine Sea Dogs who attended NHL training camps will be available to play.

Player introductions will take place in a special ceremony prior to puck drop.

The Sea Dogs have also rescheduled the annual "Pink in the Rink" breast cancer awareness game at Harbour Station.

"Pink in the Rink" was originally scheduled for this Friday. It will now take place Saturday, October 10th, at 7 p.m. against the Blainville-Boisbriand Armada.

'Pink in the Rink' is part in the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League's commitment to the fight against breast cancer. All Sea Dogs players will be wearing special, limited-edition pink jerseys during the game. Fans can win a jersey by purchasing raffle tickets throughout Harbour Station, and at specially-marked tables on the concourse, until the end of the second period.

One ticket will be drawn for each pink jersey. Winning raffle tickets will be announced early in the third period. Fans must bring their winning tickets to Sea Dogs Central, located behind Section S, on the concourse. Fans will then be allowed to claim their jersey directly from the player, immediately following the game.

Fans must be at the game to claim a jersey.

A jersey for Sea Dogs' mascot, Fleaburn, a Joe Veleno #9 jersey, and three jerseys autographed by every Sea Dogs player, will be auctioned off to the highest bidders in the second intermission at a live auction near Section S on the main concourse level. A jersey from the 2015 Wallace McCain Memorial Alumni Reunion, autographed by all players involved, will also be auctioned.

Proceeds will be donated by the Sea Dogs Foundation to the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation.

The Sea Dogs' next game is Friday, October 2nd, at 7:30 p.m. against the Gatineau Olympiques at Harbour Station. Tickets are available at the Harbour Station Box Office, online at harbourstation.ca or by calling 657-1234. Listen LIVE on 96.1 NewSong FM or newsongfm.ca. Watch LIVE online on theqmjhl.ca.

Season tickets are on sale now at the Sea Dogs administration office (Harbour Station, Pedway Level). Season ticket holders can save up to $171 compared with single-game box office prices.
